ENGRAVED AND INCISED ALUMINIUM
Engraved and incised on a 800 lb. disk of aluminium, “Fish and Scales” is approximately 1.6 metres across. The work is anodized black in all recessed areas of its design and mounted on a steel artist’s easel that is powder coated in a textured subtle reddish/black. The success of this artwork suggests the tremendous possibilities that lay ahead as one considers the thousands of tessellation designs left by Escher’s jaw dropping diverse legacy of creation.
